International wellness card launched to benefit foreign tourists


Prime India, pioneers in medical tourism with strong presence in Middle East, Africa and South Asia, has launched the International Wellness Card, an innovative end-to-end approach to medical tourism, The facility has been launched keeping in mind the rising cost of health care in the Western, countries coinciding with the rapid developments in Indian healthcare industry with low cost and skilled expertise.
India has emerged as a prime destination of medical tourism with rapid expansion and fast-paced growth in the sector providing transparent, trustworthy solutions at subsidized rates, a press release here said. Prime India has also launched an exclusive Medical Recruitment Web Portal to serve as an essential link between the medical experts and hospitals.
The two facilities are meant for people living abroad to benefit from medical tourism in India. They can benefit from internationally accredited medical centers with state-of-the-art technology and highly qualified doctors. They can also discover the rich cultural heritage of India. Over 150,000 patients visit the country per year, India's medical tourism sector is expected to experience an annual growth rate of ten per cent, making it a Rs 9,500-crore industry by 2015.
